299 Days Glock end plates are now available!

by Glen Tate on August 8, 2013

The super cool guys at Lone Wolf Distributors, who are members of the Cool Friends Project, are making 299 Days end plates for Glocks.  Trick out your Glock and show the world you’re a 299er with an end plate.
Go to this page on the Lone Wolf web page and order a “Custom” end plate (or lots of them).  In the comments field, put in “299 Days” and then the name of the individual end plate(s) you’d like.  They are called:
  • “I miss America”
  • 17th Irregulars
  • 299 Days logo
(Admit it: You want all three.  They make great gifts for your team.  Who shoot Glocks… of course.)
Then put them on your Glock, take a picture, and send it in to me and I’ll put it up on Facebook.
Rock out with your Glock out, as Wes always says.

James Yeager video review of 299days

by Glen Tate on August 6, 2013

James Yeager – yes, THE James Yeager – does a short but awesome review of the 299 Days book series.  Hint: He really likes it.  And you’ll find out what his favorite flavor of PopTarts is.  For real.

John Jacobs of Radio Free Redoubt interviewed Stewart Rhodes and I together at the Oath Keepers rally in Athol, ID this last weekend. What an honor to be interviewed with Stewart Rhodes. It was a fabulous weekend getting to meet so many great patriots.

*First EVER video interview*

by Glen Tate on August 2, 2013

My first ever video interview by USNERDOC . Check it out and please share.

Here’s a sneak peak – a very long-range sneak peak – at how the book series ends.  Well, what the series means at the end (not the details of what happens).

At the end of the book, you see how each and every one of the characters – the strong, the weak, the cool people, and especially the “losers” – were a blessing to the people at Pierce Point.  Each and every one of them.  The point is that everyone has an important role because God never made an insignificant person.

The ending is summarized in this song, which is “Blessed” by Lucinda Williams.  I heard this song and crafted the story line around it.  It’s a powerful, powerful song.  All the people mentioned in the song are characters – some are obvious, some are not.

This is what 299 Days is all about.  It’s not just about guns and prepping, although that’s important.  It’s about each and every person having a role in something huge.  It’s about you.

I’m happy to sign your copy of 299 Days!

by Glen Tate on July 20, 2013

I love signing books – it still amazes me that the books have taken off like they have.

I don’t charge for signing the book (that would be obnoxious) but I do ask to recoup the postage costs I have for mailing the signed copies back to you.

So if you’d like me to sign your book(s), please mail them to:

PO Box 4278
Olympia, WA

(You must address it to “Eakin” (not my name).  Trust me; it’s how PO boxes work.)

Put in a note with your return address and the name(s) you’d like me to sign the books for.

Please put in $5 for return postage.  That covers postage costs for about two books.  If you send me a bunch of books, please adjust accordingly.

I never thought anyone would want my autograph…

I love the Youtube channel Prepper Recon; it discusses the economic issue about the coming Collapse without getting all wonky or complicated.  Here is my second interview on Prepper Recon.  In it, we talk about lots of things – like buying a precious metal for investment.  Gold? Silver? Nope, although those are good to own.  No, the precious metal we discuss as an investment is “GlenTate-ium,” a term coined by the host, Mark.  GlenTate-ium is copper-jacketed lead in a brass casing.  It’s a precious metal and sure as heck is an investment that will yield big dividends shortly.
You’ll like this interview.

Charles Carroll Society: Catholic Patriots

by Glen Tate on July 18, 2013

I wanted to let everyone know about a great web site and podcast out there, the Charles Carroll Society.  (Charles Carroll was a Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence.)  The web site and podcast is about prepping and liberty from a Catholic Patriot perspective.

I’m a protestant but we need to work together.  Give the Charles Carroll Society a look/listen.

Catholic Priest is a 299er

by Glen Tate on July 17, 2013

This is so cool. Father Shaun sends in this picture. Kinda shatters your view of priests as liberals and pacifists, huh?

In Book Seven or Book Eight (still not sure yet), you will read about Pastor Pete, the protestant chaplain of the 17th Irregulars, doing his best to perform a service close to a Catholic Mass for the many Catholics in the 17th. That was my way of reminding everyone that people of all faiths are Patriots. You’ve read about the Spencers and Folsoms who are Mormon, and Andrew Berkowitz who is Jewish – all of them Patriots.

Everyone – regardless of religious beliefs – is welcome at Pierce Point. There are already way too many things dividing us Patriots. We don’t need additional things.

Gun Show Affiliate program!

by Glen Tate on July 16, 2013

If you have a table at a gun show, I’d like to ask a favor.  Could you put out some really nice 299 Days bookmarks on your table?  They don’t take up much space (about 4″ x 1″).  You don’t need to do anything other than set them out.

Gun show shoppers are very likely to be interested in a book like 299 Days.  So they’ll take a bookmark home and (hopefully) order the books.  The bookmarks are also great conversation starters with potential buyers of the products you’re selling at the gun show.

I will mail you out the bookmarks.  You can take a picture of your gun show table with the bookmarks and I’ll put it up on my Facebook page.

If you’re interested in being a 299 Days Gun Show Affiliate, just send me an email at glentate123@gmail.com and I’ll get you fixed up.

John Willis at SOE Tactical is fabulous.  He made me a tactical stocking last Christmas and it’s been hanging on the wood stove in the real cabin ever since.  The real Team loves it.  Well, I got some 17th Irregular patches and – bam! – look at how cool that SOE stocking is.  If you’re looking for tactical gear, or just cool gift ideas like the stockings or beer coozies, then check out SOE Tactical.  I love them.  In a totally hetero way, of course. http://www.originalsoegear.com/index.html

Awesome Interview with Radio Free Redoubt

by Glen Tate on July 15, 2013

Radio Free Redoubt is probably one of the very best podcasts out there if you are a 299er. (A “redoubt” is a stronghold area; the American Redoubt is the liberty-loving states of ID, MT, WY, eastern WA, and eastern OR.) I have been a fan of Radio Free Redoubt for a long time, so it was an amazing honor to be a guest on the show. In this in-depth interview, which starts at 37:10, one of the things we talk about is my upcoming joint interview on RFR with Stewart Rhodes, founder of Oath Keepers (and a hero of mine). I highly recommend listening to this episode and subscribing to this podcast. The web site iswww.radiofreeredoubt.com. You can subscribe to the episodes for free on iTunes.

I’m Glen Tate and I buy tampons.

by Glen Tate on July 15, 2013

If you’re a prepper with ladies in your household and have lots of guns, ammo, and food, you’re forgetting something.  Some of you guys are lucky and your wife is on board so she might go get these things.  But if you can’t say, “Honey, be sure and stock up on feminine products for when SHTF,” then do it yourself.  Find out exactly what products she uses and go to the store yourself and get them.
Reluctant to buy tampons?  Let me get this straight: You’ll bravely jump into a fire fight with a drug gang after the Collapse, but you won’t get the ladies in your life what they need before the Collapse to be comfortable?  Man up, gentlemen.  Show the ladies in your home that you really care about their every need.
By the way, the items pictured are only a portion of what I have on hand.

Patriot of the week (July 13th, 2013)

by Glen Tate on July 12, 2013

This is the office fridge of James Yeager, the owner of Tactical Response and YouTube guy. Wow. How cool is it that the 17th Irregulars and I miss America stickers are on his fridge?  Tactical Response rules. http://www.tacticalresponse.com

Patriot of the week (July 9th, 2013)

by Glen Tate on July 9, 2013

Mike made a patch showing the Good Gang Sign! How cool is that? Yep. He nailed it. Thanks, Mike. That patch is one of a kind. Extremely cool.

An awesome Oath Keeper, who we’ll call Mr. Anonymous, sends this in from his work. There are plenty of Patriots in uniform. Plenty. And they have the keys to lots of stuff. Lots.

Radio Free Redoubt, which is a fabulous podcast you should listen to, mentioned an upcoming joint interview with me and (one of my heroes) Stewart Rhodes, president of Oath Keepers.  The interview will be up in early August, which will be after the July 27 event that both Stewart and I will be at.  Here is the link to the RFR episode; the mention starts at 31:00 and goes to 35:30.  You should subscribe to Radio Free Redoubt on iTunes.
PS: This is how I’ll act when I get to talk to Stewart Rhodes (I’m Chris Farley).

Patriot of the week (July 3, 2013)

by Glen Tate on July 3, 2013

This comes from an Oath Keeper named Chester. God Bless you, brother.

A great interview on the Practical Defense Podcast.  The host, Alex Haddox, is a very serious and credentialed personal defense instructor and author.  He brings a great perspective to the interview.  He also assesses how I performed a few days ago when I had to pull a gun on a dude.  Find out how I did.

Here’s this week’s Gun Runner Podcast, with the weekly “On the Road with Glen” segment. I come on at 41:00.

Pieter sends this in.  This photo kicks an astounding amount of ass.

My guest column in PreparedChristian.net

by Glen Tate on June 27, 2013

I was very honored to write a guest column for PreparedChristian.net entitled, “Why Prepper Novels are an Important Source of Survival Information.”  It describes how you can learn a lot by reading “fiction.”

The column is generating a lot of comments.

Here is a really good interview on the Great Northern Prepper about prepping with special needs kids in mind.  As you know from reading the 29 9Days series, my son has autism.  I talk about that, other special needs prepping ideas, and some very interesting ideas on how the unprepared sheeple will be a big problem when SHTF.

Another great review,  this time by Simpler Times Homestead of book 3, The Community.

Patriot of the week (June 23, 2013)

The real “Wes” sends this in.  That brother has fine taste in carbines and books…

Patriot of the week (June 20, 2013)

by Glen Tate on June 20, 2013

2013_06_14 13_21_36-1

This brother took this picture at work-see, there are plenty of Patriots inside sensitive government positions. (This of course, is bad news for the Loyalists. Good.) He taped over the lot numbers on the ammo cans so you couldn’t figure out where he was. Thank you “Mr. Ammo” for the picture. You, sir, are the Patriot of the week.

Good ol’ WildChild produces another review, this time of Book Five.  He has an amazing ability to capture what the books are about.

There must be something wrong with me – I went on the Politics and Guns podcast again. Hear about how I had to pull a gun on a dude. For real.  Great interview.  It starts at 23:00. P.S. Listen to the last 50 seconds for an outtake involving Dr. Foxy.

Patriot of the week (June 16th, 2013)

by Glen Tate on June 16, 2013

Bob sends in this picture of his preps. Gotta stay clean, gotta have hot sauce, gotta have a pistol, gotta have the Constitution. Oh, and gotta have 299 Days.

by Glen Tate on June 13, 2013

Do you miss America? Me too. Get your “I MISS AMERICA” T-shirt here at the
TSP gear shop.

Note from author Glen Tate: This T-shirt says it all, doesn’t it? In the book 299 Days, “I miss America” becomes the Patriots’ slogan. It captures what you are feeling: you want your country back. Get people thinking, “Yeah, I miss America too.”
