(Way cuter) Patriot of the week (Feb. 24, 2013)

(Move over, “Wes.”  Your Patriot of the week picture of your guns just lost out to something way better.  I know you’ll understand.  You’re on the Team so you’re a bad ass and can handle it.)

This is Emma and she’s exactly what we need more of to save this country!  Thank you Emma’s mom for sending this in and for the kind words in your email.  Keep on doing what you’re doing: prepping and raising a good kid.  I sent you an email with details on how I will sign your books for Emma.

Emma: Don’t let anyone tell you girls can’t do a whole lot to help save this country.  They’re wrong.  Be like “Manda.”  She’s a young Patriot and a strong girl.  And, as you’ll see throughout the books, it’s not just men who do heroic stuff.

Patriot of the week (Feb. 24, 2013)

This is from the real “Wes.”  That brother can blend in with the “duck hunters” and roll old school.  Nuthin’ wrong with that.  Whatever gets the job done.

Do you smell pancakes?  I have a bad feeling about this.  (Wait until Book Ten to find out why the thing about Wes and pancakes makes sense.)

Patriot of the Week (Feb. 23, 2013)

How frickin’ cool is this?

This comes from Dennis who is flying over… never mind.  Can’t say.

I know you guys get tired of hearing it, but it’s an amazing honor to have people from all over the world reading the books and sending in pictures.  It’s humbling.  Thank you for reading the books.

Review of Book One by MakingAHomestead.com

A very nice review from the blog MakingAHomstead.com.  Here’s a sample from it:

I would highly encourage every American, survivalist or not, to read this book and the rest of the series. Not only is it highly entertaining, but it serves as a wakeup call to everyone that thinks, “It can’t happen here.” It can happen here and it is better to be prepared than blindsided. It forces the ostrich to take their head out of the sand and actually take a look around. However, Grant has a firm head on his shoulders and is not a “Chicken Little”, he knows that the point is to prepare, not freak out. Nobody can buy everything at once; Grant sets a methodical pace akin to the turtle racing the hare and we all know how that story ended.
