NY State Police union to file labor grievance over having to enforce NY gun ban

One of the themes in 299 Days is that many police officers are Patriots.  This letter is from the NY State Police union.  If the police loved the gun ban, they wouldn’t be doing this.

Now, I’ll be the first to say I wish the police did more than this, but I understand how things work.  This unfair labor practice over the gun ban is a good sign.  If all the police were just drooling over the opportunity to bust down doors and take people’s guns, they wouldn’t do what the NY State Police union is doing.

 

Great review from Survival Punk

The Survival Punk blog wrote a really nice review of Book One of 299 Days.

Here’s a good summary of it: “[Y]ou need to be reading this series. As far as I’m concerned this is the best prepper book I’ve read to date. Go grab it and start reading now if for nothing other than the motivation this book gives you.”

BTW, the review says that a few things like Lisa holding her hands over her ears was not 100% believable.  She actually did that.  It was in our laundry room.  I remember it vividly.
